MyFamBam is a family tree app with a private social layer built for real families — not a public feed dressed up as one.
Members build and explore their tree, interact with relatives on it, post in a private family feed, play trivia, and create GIFs and memes together. The product exists so relatives stay close when group chats and public social networks fall short.
The challenge
Family life is scattered across group texts, public social apps, and half-finished photo albums. There was no private place that combined a living family tree with everyday connection — sharing, joking, and staying present across generations.
Tools built for corporate teams or open social networks never fit how families actually talk, remember, and play together.
The solution
We shipped MyFamBam as a consumer product centered on the family tree: browse and interact with relatives on the tree, post in a private family feed, run trivia, and create GIFs and memes inside the same private space.
The UX had to work for grandparents and teenagers alike — clear enough to pick up in seconds, warm enough that people actually come back.
