The product
ByteSize VMS is our own product: a visitor management system that answers the question every facility eventually gets asked — who was in the building, when, and who signed them in. Visitors check in at a kiosk, hosts are notified the moment their guest arrives, and every entry lands in a searchable, audit-ready log.
It is also our proof of craft. Billing, entitlements, auth, and day-two operations are production-grade because we run them ourselves — the same team and the same standards clients hire us for.
The challenge
Visitor management splits into two bad options: a paper logbook that can't answer a single security question, or enterprise platforms priced for Fortune 500 procurement with six-month rollouts to match. Mid-size facilities were stuck choosing between chaos and overkill.
And the gap shows up exactly when it hurts — an incident, an audit, an evacuation. Operators needed check-in, host notifications, and a visitor record they could stand behind, without a dedicated IT project to keep it alive.
The solution
We built the full loop: branded digital check-in, badge workflows, instant host alerts, a searchable visitor log, and admin controls — plus subscription billing and self-serve onboarding, so a facility can sign up and start logging visitors without ever talking to sales.
Under the hood it runs on the same engineering standards we sell: typed APIs, clear ownership of data, and monitoring built for real lobby traffic — where downtime means a line at the front desk.
The result
Live SaaS in production with self-serve signup — no sales call, no rollout project
Every visit on the record: check-in, host alert, badge, audit-ready log
Subscription billing and entitlements wired end-to-end
